The countdown is on for the 8th Annual Causeway CARes 5K, happening October 12, 2025 at Southern Regional High School. This community event brings runners, walkers, and supporters together for a morning of fitness, fun, and philanthropy. This year’s proceeds will benefit three incredible local organizations: Fulfill, Project Home Repair, and, new this year, Meals on Wheels of Ocean County.

Over the past seven years, the Causeway CARes 5K has raised more than $305,000 for local nonprofits. Last year alone, the event brought in $90,200, and our goal this year is to raise even more. With your participation and the generous support of our sponsors, we know it is possible.

This Year’s Beneficiaries

Fulfill
Fulfill is dedicated to ending hunger in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. In addition to providing food to over 300 local food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters, they also run programs that connect people with resources such as SNAP benefits, affordable healthcare, and job training. Their mission goes beyond feeding people today. It is about building food security for tomorrow.

Project Home Repair
Project Home Repair is a collaborative effort that provides critical home repairs to senior, veteran, and vulnerable populations in Ocean County. This vital initiative ensures that residents can live safely and with dignity in their own homes. By addressing health and safety hazards like leaking roofs, faulty steps, or accessibility issues, Project Home Repair makes a tangible and immediate impact on the lives of those who need it most.

Meals on Wheels of Ocean County
Meals on Wheels delivers hot, nutritious meals directly to the homes of seniors who cannot shop or prepare food on their own. Along with the meals, volunteers provide a friendly face and a daily wellness check, helping to combat isolation and ensure the health and safety of our older neighbors. Each year, Meals on Wheels of Ocean County serves thousands of seniors, making a life-changing impact in our community.
