The 9th Annual Causeway CARes 5K Run and Walk
Thanks to the incredible support of our sponsors, participants, volunteers, and community, this year’s event was a tremendous success. We are proud to share that the 9th Annual Causeway CARes 5K raised $45,600.50. The Wintrode Family Foundation matched the amount, bringing the total to $91,201. During the race, Causeway President David Wintrode announced, “Let’s round up the total to $100K.” With that generous commitment, this year’s total reached an incredible $100,000!
The $100,000 was divided among this year’s nine nonprofit beneficiaries, with each organization receiving $11,111:
- Fulfill NJ
- Project Home Repair
- Meals on Wheels of Ocean County
- Family Promise of the Jersey Shore
- Ocean Partnership for Children
- Ocean County YMCA
- Bright Harbor Healthcare
- Southern Regional Education Foundation
- The Hope Center

Why We Run…
Causeway Cars and Causeway CARes have been raising awareness and money for community issues in Ocean County since 1969. Issues like homelessness, food insecurity, education, senior and veteran’s needs, and many more. Since its inception in 2018, The Causeway 5k has raised more than $500,000 to help Ocean County residents improve the quality of their lives. All proceeds are donated to Ocean County non-profit organizations. Thank you for your support!
