Causeway CARes Enhances Senior Transportation Program with Donation to Interfaith Health and Support Services of Southern Ocean County

MANAHAWKIN, NJ – In a heartfelt gesture of community support, Causeway CARes has once again demonstrated its commitment to enhancing the lives of seniors in Southern Ocean County. Through their CauseWheels Vehicle Donation program, Causeway has donated a refurbished Service Shuttle from the Causeway Family of Dealerships to Interfaith Health and Support Services of Southern Ocean County (Interfaith).

Interfaith identified a crucial need within their community – the transportation of seniors to medical appointments and local senior centers for midday meals and group activities. Recognizing the importance of such services in promoting the well-being and socialization of seniors, Causeway CARes stepped in to fill the gap. The initial vehicle donations took place in June of 2020 and December of 2021.

As one of the vehicles in the program has fallen into disrepair, Interfaith turned to Causeway CARes for assistance. Responding to the call for support, Causeway CARes refurbished and donated the Causeway Family of Dealerships Service Shuttle, ensuring the seamless continuation of the senior transportation program.

This generous donation marks the third vehicle contribution from Causeway CARes to Interfaith, solidifying a successful partnership. With the previous donations already having made a significant impact on the senior community, the refurbished Service Shuttle is expected to further expand and enhance Interfaith’s senior transportation program.

Interfaith has joined forces with fellow nonprofit and community organizations, Meals on Wheels and the Ocean County Library to further address the needs of the senior population. Through this alliance and the donation of this shuttle, seniors will be transported to local branches of the Ocean County Library, providing them with an opportunity for socialization, a nutritious meal, and engaging activities such as movies or crafts.

The impact of this donation extends far beyond the refurbished shuttle itself. It represents a beacon of hope and solidarity within the community, showcasing the power of collaboration and corporate social responsibility.
