Grace Calvary Church receives new set of wheels

The vehicle was funded in part through a grant from Causeway Family of Dealerships and Causeway CARes.

MANAHAWKIN, NJ – Located just one block from the beach in Ship Bottom, Grace Calvary Church was in desperate need for a vehicle to assist its Ocean County congregation. The church’s current minivan’s final days were numbered due to its age and repetitive use.

The Causeway Cars team determined that repairing the minivan would be ill advised. Grace Calvary Church needed financial support in order to fund a vehicle purchase. Paul Shutak, Service Director at Causeway Cars and member of Grace Calvary Church, presented the grant request to Causeway CARes.

David Wintrode, President of Causeway Family of Dealerships/Causeway CARes, saw the need and met it with a $9,500 grant to assist the church in its vehicle purchase. This grant was made possible through The CauseWheels Vehicle Donation Program.

“As Grace Calvary is known for serving the LBI community, we are grateful for the generosity of Manahawkin’s Causeway dealership and Causeway CARes for helping us with a strategic vehicle need,” said Pastor Craig Braun of Grace Calvary Church.

Grace Calvary Church has been a part of Ship Bottom and LBI since the 1920s. Today, the church consists of people of all ages who enjoy the many activities that take place year-round, such as Young Adult Group, Ladies’ Bible Study and Men’s Discipleship.

A family-friendly church, Grace Calvary is open to the community and offers two Sunday worship services: 8:30am traditional (hymns) and 10:30am contemporary with Pastor Dan bringing expositional and practical bible messages on Thursdays at 7:30pm on WYRS 90.7. About The CauseWheels Vehicle Donation
The CauseWheels Vehicle Donation Program exists to help its neighbors and positively impact Ocean County. The program started in 2019 after The Causeway Family of Dealerships had two requests for vehicle donations to local non-profit organizations. Both requests were graciously accommodated. This prompted the idea to follow up Causeway’s 2019’s 50th Anniversary celebration with the new CauseWheels Vehicle Donation Program.
