Nonprofit partners host spring fundraising and friendraising events

MANAHAWKIN, NJ – Spring has sprung, bringing with it a sense of renewal and energy. Birds are singing, flowers are blooming, and our community is alive with activity—including exciting events hosted by our nonprofit partners. Whether you’re into Bingo, Golf, or Gift Auctions, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this season in Ocean County.

On Sunday, May 4th, Open Arms, Inc. will be hosting a Ladies’ Victorian Tea Fundraiser at The Rebecca Finn House in Toms River. Funds raised from this event will benefit CONTACT of Ocean & Monmouth Counties and Ocean’s Harbor House. The event will include a variety of tea selections, delicious treats, prizes for “Fanciest Fascinator”, gift baskets and more. Tickets cost $55 per person. The fun continues on May 4th with BCCT’s Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy Gift Auction taking place at the Lobster Shanty in Point Pleasant. This exciting event includes a 3-course lunch, soft drinks, coffe & tea, and a change to win the Ultimate Prize! Tickets are available online at bcct.org/events and are $49.75 per person.

Fulfill’s annual Shore to Rock Hunger is back, and this year’s theme is Disco Fever, so put on your dancing shoes and come boogie with us! Join Fulfill as they honor Hunger Heroes for their generous spirit and support in the fight against hunger at SHORE TO ROCK. This fun event will take place May 8 at the Baseline Social in Oceanport. It’s time to Walk or Rock to help raise fund to rebuild lives and families impact by addiction at the 17th annual Family Freedom Walk with America’s Keswick. Join Keswick’s Addiction Recovery graduates along with their family and friends on May 10th on the campus of America’s Keswick. All participants will enjoy snacks, drinks and music. Get moving this spring for a good cause! Join The Arc, Ocean County Chapter at their 23rd Annual Step Up for The Arc Walk and 5K Race to raise awareness and funds for the 1,000 individuals with disabilities we support in Ocean County, NJ. This 1 mile Walk and 5K Race event will take place Saturday, May 17th at the Jersey Shore BlueClaws ShoreTown Ballpark in Lakewood. The Step Up for The Arc Walk and 5K Race is a special fundraiser for the residents, participants, and staff of The Arc of Ocean. Every dollar raised through the program’s team fundraiser helps purchase essential wishlist items—such as art supplies, patio furniture, and field trip tickets—ensuring continued high-quality services for the individuals we support. A Need We Feed is thrilled to invite you to one of their most exciting and flavorful fundraisers of the year — the 3rd Annual Brews & Bites at Icarus Brewing in Brick! Come raise a glass (and some funds) to help fight food insecurity in Ocean County, NJ. Tickets are $60 per person, which includes 3 beer tastings, 3 gourmet sliders and 5 gift auction raffle tickets.
