St. Theresa’s Food Pantry receives Causeway’s “CauseWheels” vehicle donation
The donation was made possible through the Causeway Family of Dealership and Causeway CARes.
MANAHAWKIN, NJ – St. Theresa’s Food Pantry recently received a significant boost to its operations through a generous vehicle donation from Causeway CARes. The transit cargo van, funded by Causeway Family of Dealerships “CauseWheels” vehicle donation program, will play a crucial role in enhancing the pantry’s food distribution efforts in the community.
The newly donated transit cargo van will be instrumental in the pickup and transportation of food from Fulfill, formerly the Foodbank of Ocean & Monmouth Counties, a key partner of St. Theresa’s Food Pantry. This donation marks the third vehicle that Causeway CARes has donated to St. Theresa’s, underscoring the ongoing commitment of the organization to support local food security initiatives.
“We saw the need for reliable transportation to support St. Theresa’s Food Pantry’s operations and were impressed by the dedication and hard work of their team,” said David C. Wintrode, President of Causeway Family of Dealerships/Causeway CARes. “Our goal with the “CauseWheels” vehicle donation program is to help organizations like St. Theresa’s continue their vital work in the community.”
St. Theresa’s Food Pantry is located at the back of the Faith Formation Center at 450 Radio Road in Little Egg Harbor Township. The pantry is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 2pm to 4pm. As a Fulfill pantry partner, St. Theresa’s relies on consistent and reliable transportation to collect food supplies. The addition of the cargo van will streamline this process, allowing the pantry to more efficiently transport larger quantities of food from Fulfill to the food pantry, ensuring that food supplies are readily available for those in need.
The mission of St. Theresa’s Food Pantry is to help eliminate hunger and hardship in the lower Ocean County area through the distribution of food and by providing information and referrals to various support facilities in the area. The food collected from Fulfill is then brought to St. Theresa’s Food Pantry, where it is distributed to community members facing food insecurity. With the new vehicle, the pantry can increase its reach and capacity, ensuring that more families have access to essential food items.
In addition to support from Fulfill, a monthly food collection is held at all of the masses on the first weekend of each month. This collection supports the ongoing work of the food pantry, which is staffed entirely by volunteers. There is always a need for more volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, please send an email to cathy.mazanek@sttheresa450.org with your name, telephone number, email address, or call 609-296-2504 Ext. 222 with the days and times you are available to volunteer.
The “CauseWheels” vehicle donation program by Causeway CARes aims to support non-profit organizations by providing them with much-needed transportation solutions. This initiative helps organizations like St. Theresa’s Food Pantry to carry out their missions more effectively. The continuous support from Causeway CARes highlights the importance of community collaboration in addressing pressing issues such as hunger and food insecurity.
The impact of this donation extends beyond logistics; it embodies the spirit of community and compassion. The support from Causeway CARes will enable St. Theresa’s Food Pantry to continue its vital work, helping to ensure that no family in Little Egg Harbor goes hungry.

About The CauseWheels Vehicle Donation
The CauseWheels Vehicle Donation Program exists to help its neighbors and positively impact Ocean County. The program started in 2019 after The Causeway Family of Dealerships had two requests for vehicle donations to local non-profit organizations. Both requests were graciously accommodated. This prompted the idea to follow up Causeway’s 2019’s 50th Anniversary celebration with the new CauseWheels Vehicle Donation Program.
