“Since its inception in 2018, The Causeway 5K has raised over $215,000 to help improve the quality of life for Ocean County residents,” said David C. Wintrode, President of Causeway Family of Dealerships/Causeway CARes. “We carefully selected Fulfill and Project Home Repair as this year’s 5K beneficiaries because both organizations are on a mission to keep Ocean County residents healthy and safe in their homes, which is something that Causeway cares deeply about. We are proud to support organizations who collaborate in an effort to make a greater impact in our community, in turn making our community a better and safer place to live.”
Fulfill, who is celebrating their 40th anniversary, was among the first 5K beneficiaries at the inception of the race seven years ago. The nonprofit’s mission is to alleviate hunger and build food security in Monmouth and Ocean Counties and make sure that all people always have access to enough nutritious food to maintain an active and healthy life.
Project Home Repair is a coalition of Ocean County-based nonprofit organizations dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for the aging, disabled and vulnerable populations of Ocean County by providing necessary home repair services through collaboration, compassion and community. Project Home Repair works to identify and undertake essential home repairs, ensuring that individuals and families can live safely and comfortably in their homes.
Last year, the 6th Annual Causeway 5K raised over $72,000 and saw an increase in runners/walkers and sponsors from the prior year. For 5K race donation opportunities, please contact Kaitlyn Strohmeier at 609-597-8083, ext. 1122 or email Kaitlyn.Strohmeier@CausewayCars.com.
